Week 4 Recap: Mid Season Stride

Good morning you wonderful people. Today's edition is a gold-en one as we start talking and prepping for playoff spots. With TD losing to Jolly Rogers and Hyperion Shield on a winning streak, anything could happen with these playoff spots.

Week 4 Wrap-Up

SON (2) vs Team Skyline (1)

With Leperkoopa returning to the lineup, this team looked solid. He looked really comfortable on Dr. Mundo really able to scale up and run the lane. Puffin with the big damage with Ryze mid just causing chaos all over the map. It reminds me of the old REV squad of last split with Dean0, Leper and Puffin. If they could keep this team intact for tonight's game against ---- they have a really good shot. Team Skyline have struggled to find their footing and this match was no different. There are signs of life and I do think they are doing what they can to win. Their next match could be the game they turn it around but it might be too late.

Jolly Rogers Black Pearl (2) vs TD Wildcard (0)

I thought TD would at least take a game off of JRBP but I was wrong. This is the first series that

I've seen TD struggle. Complex struggled to get lane control over NasGhost and Toxin struggled on the Maokai (I'm pretty sure he's picked Mao like every game). TD might have to get more creative with their team comps when they face JRBP again. Hardstuckbrotha really coming out solid in this match and honestly, the whole team really did well. Kidacus found some traction but overall just not enough to push them to victory.

Hyperion Gaming (0) vs Phantastic Academy 2)

Hyperion has been plagued with roster issues, synergy issues and can't seem to find a win. Phantastic have really surprised me. While Hyperion had some really high moments in both games, they seem to falter when its time to close out the game. Hyperion should have at least taken a game off of Phantastic but I will say Phantastic looks to be a top 3 team going into week 5. They work well as a team and are very decisive in what they want to accomplish on the map.

Hyperion Shield (2) vs Conduit Monarchs (1)

Hyperion shield looking really well now they have really come into their own. They have one of the

best top laners in the league with Darkpython that can play bruisers and carries. Gitano on the Asol

and then XIL taking over in mid with the Kassadin pick probably threw Conduit off with the role swap

mid match. While I still have high hopes for Conduit Monarch, I think Hyperion Shield will be a

team to beat in the weeks getting closer to playoffs.

Week 5 Predictions

JRBP 2 vs SONs 1

Hyperion Shield 0 vs TD Wildcard 2

Team Skyline 0 vs Hyperion Gaming 2
