Week 3 Recap: Shake Ups and Breakups

Good afternoon, good evening my great gold gamers. Week 3 we’ve started seeing a lot of roster changes coming through as the top half of the division starts to separate from the bottom half. TD Wildcards on a hot streak but might meet their match in Week 4 as they face off against Jolly Rogers Black Pearl who is probably second best in the league right now. Looking onward to week 4

Week 4 Predictions

TD Wildcards (2) vs Jolly Rogers Black Pearl (1)

This series will be one of the most deciding games on who’s the best team in BOL Gold right now. After TD ran past SON’s Spelling Bee Champions or Accels brotherhood or whatever they go by now. After a couple roster changes for SON, they haven’t been able to find their footing and haven’t won a series yet but when the roster has changed twice already, it’s easy to see why.  TD Wildcard on the other hand, have sped past most teams in the division and have yet to drop a series. It’s TD, we expect nothing less than being one of the top two teams in the league.

I think having Nasghost and Complex face off will be one of the wildest top lane games we’ll see. It will come down to jungle pressure and team fighting mid to late game that will determine the series.

Conduit Monarch (2) vs Hyperion Shield (0)

This matchup should be pretty even. I feel like both teams have played pretty well and are about equal in power. Although Conduit is coming off an 0-2 loss against Jolly Rogers Black Pearl, I think they can pull off the series against Hyperion Shield. I do think this series is a bit of a toss-up where either team could pull off the victory. Hyperion Shield looked strong last week against Hyperion Gaming so if the same team from last week shows up, they may be able to take this series and go on a 2 series win streak.

Hyperion Gaming (0) vs Phantastic Academy (2)

Hyperion is struggling to find any sort of chemistry while Phantastic seem to be really coming together as a team. With several roster changes already in the books, Hyperion will look for their first victory tonight. Phantastic has been on a win streak so tonight I anticipate them to pull ahead of Hyperion and continue their win streak. With Wildstar coming in for top lane on the side of Hyperion, we’ll see if he can fill the shoes that Indigo had filled.

Team Skyline (0) vs SON’s of Accel(2)

Team Skyline has been plagued with roster changes as well, with Scrambles being switched out for suppywuppy. We’ll see if SON shows up with Leper in the top lane or Puffin as his replacement. I don’t think this series will be decided in top lane. I believe SON can pull ahead with DeanO at the helm and catch their first win against Team Skyline. Even though it’s been a rough start, we see a lot of the BOL Gold veteran players on the side of SON and if they can work together as a team, it will be their first victory this split.
