BOL Plat Week 5 of Cheong Chiming In

Week 4 Game Results-

HydroPump Great White 0 - 2 Dorado Rho - Dorado Rho once again gets another flawless win, showing why they are the best team in BOL Plat currently. Big News and Sloppy shelled out this week and let the rest of their team take a breather. Billy played a fantastic Asol in game 1 and picked the best mid laner currently in Syndra but had a worse performance on that one in game 2. Cooper came in with 2 different styles in the jungle this week. This team is scary and I do not see anyone who can be them currently. Great White only had 1 thing going for them this week and that was JayJ, but even with that he was put on Malph game 1 so couldn't carry, and when he did get Renekton he still could not carry the rest of his team in game 2. Great White as a whole had a big down week and that now risks their chances for playoffs with how close Piltover is now.

SON Lero 0 - 2 Hydro Lotus -  I wanted to believe, and root for Lero but that is now gone. Another week of poor drafting, team play and identity puts this team in the same spot as they were last week, and they have now dropped their jungler. Lero should look to mesh as a team more and look to next season. For Lotus they picked up a much needed win this week to keep their hope for playoffs alive. Ludachris was ludacris this week, popping off in both of the games. For Lotus as a whole, I cannot get a read on them since they will have a great week like this one and then struggle in the next one. If they want to make the playoffs they will need to find consistency.

Monkey Business 1 - 2 AIE Anguish - AIE!!!!! These boys are ramping up, and at the most important part of the season. They got the win this week, but it was not the cleanest one. They are getting better and better every week and should keep playing with this confidence. Apart from one hard carry performance from Stormtech on Viego it was an overall team win. Grim Dafyre tried his hardest this series, dropping a 19 kill jhin game in a lose and a 14 kill Cait game in their win. If they can find a way to always be playing for Grim and help him win when he is that fed as Jhin this Monkey team is no joke. With both teams being 2-2 now, the playoffs will be interesting.

TFF Misfits 0 - 2 Imperial Gaming - Yeah Misfits are cooked. An FF loss since Coconut is MIA and then getting walked in game 2 it seems like that season is just over for them. Once again, Azure Zeri…I have to keep typing this until teams learn cause he always pops off on this champ. If Imperial had dropped a game versus this Misfits team it would have looked bad, since they are one of my favorites to win the whole league with the way they have been playing. They are thriving and fearless will look to compete against Dorado for the first seed in Piltover in the final week of the season. Monkeys Champagne 2 - 0 Conduit Prime - Even after dropping their jungle Monkeys Champagne still looks as strong as ever. Every player had their moment in the sun this week. 3 players dropping deathless games, Penguin playing another ranged support, Steelfan with another Yorick bonk. Champagne played well against, and I hate to say it, the weakest team in the plat league. If monkeys did not get a clean 2-0 it would have been a sign for concern. For Prime, another week of not having an intended roster and having to punch up. It seems the promoted gold team is struggling in their first time in a plat league.

SG Proton 0 - 2 Conduit Revelation - What I thought to be a close game on paper, turned out to be a landslide in actuality. With some insider info from Chai, he sent me vods, Conduit just beat out SG in all 5 roles. This properly ranked team of Conduit is just as strong as any team in this league and should be feared by teams in Piltover come playoffs. I expect them to keep cruising to a first overall seed. Also, shout out Raven on her deathless Taric game(this campaign was sponsored by Chai). For SG they just seem to be struggling when they shouldn’t be. They are lacking an identity or any stable lane. Yomi being on death's door irl does not help the team this week, so hopefully he can recover and get SG back to looking like a contender and not a pretender. TFF Banana 2 - 1 Hydropump Mako - Welp, they did it. Banana ended up with the win after they made a downgrade at support. With more recent roster changes I thought Banana would be on the back foot, but they managed to find a way to make it work. Chrome put up a strong performance in game 2 on Kai’sa while Very Talonted carried on Cass in game 3. With Mako, I can't get a  read on them either. Glizzler is playing a new role every week, and half of the other players I don't know. It seems like this team has its bright spots at certain points in the game, but can never make it work consistently enough to win when they should or need too. Atomic Desperadoes 0 - 2 MZRY Obsidian Vice - MZRY takes down the clean win over Atomic who was looking one of the top in Noxus. MZRY played through Wall St in game 1, who went off on a Syndra game. Game 2 Wall St had another great game but the real story of that game was Tortuga and Trux playing the strongest bot duo on this patch of Kog/Lulu. MZRY had a big bounce back performance this week as a whole after their loss last week. They will look to carry this momentum into next week and continue to pull away from the pack. Atomic struggled after having to drop their old jungle of Rake1 for…….reasons. I think, as a whole, Atomic is weaker without him and there is a reason for that. I am not not sure how much farther this team can make it without him.
