Match Previews

Monkeys Construction vs Monkeys Knights
In the Monekys Civil war I believe that this match up will be focused mostly around the bottom lane. Godsun and FallenxWarrior is the bot lane I will slightly favor over Gopamine and Concrete. As I think both of these bot lane duos are solid with the focus around it and how Godsun plays the game I think it will favor the Knights. The jungle matchup will be interesting between Nightmare and Small News as when I remember Nightmare jungle he liked to play aggressive junglers so I think if Small News plays for the team more will be better for the Knights overall. I think both these teams are very evenly matched against each other so it will be interesting how this series shapes out.
Conduit Crashout vs Maelstrom Platinum
I will have my eyes close on this series as Maelstrom is names I mostly do not know of besides AFK Fox King as I have played with them in the past. I’m very excited to see how this team shows up in their first match in BOL Plat. Now for the side of Crashout my only question for this roster is Hedge support. The man, the myth, the legend is role swapping to support and I am intrigued on how he will perform, especially into a support who is very solid in Fox King. The rest of the Crashout roster is super solid though so it will be interesting how they do and can carry Hedge. Overall I do think this series will be close but I am favoring Crashout.
Imperial Gaming vs SG Proton
Alf has ditched his Titan winning teammates to pair up with Yomi again in hopes of winning bol this time around after not being able to for the last 3 seasons. IG has reshaped their roster this BOL split keeping their two cornerstones in Noble Barque and Azurexfire looking to make it to finals this time after just missing it last season. I personally think this will be one of the best matches of the week and I can see it going either way. Will Yomi be back into form as he was in the past? Will Alf be able to get over the hump and keep his championship form? Will Noble Barque and Azure be able to do what the did last season? A lot of questions for this series and I cannot wait to see how it goes. I will be looking in on the mid matchup between Alf and Paradigm Shift this matchup will have the most impact on the series and I think whichever one gets an upper hand in the match up will be pivotal to their teams success. Azure role swapping to adc is also interesting as he did play many adcs in mid lane, the likes of Zeri, Kai’sa and Vayne, but will he be able to hold his own versus Yomi with Draconical at support is the question there. Overall I think this is one of the best series of the week.
The High Council vs TPO Reformed
This is another series where personally I do not know many of the names on these rosters so I am hoping these newer faces can show what they are worth. The match up I will be narrowing in for this series is the jungle with Lokrakil vs Big Rev. Jungle is a crucial role to comp games with how much impact they have on the map so I am curious who will be able to influence the game more in this series. For the names I do know I think Ziggie and Poodle will be a solid bot lane and I think they should have the upper hand vs Alberio and Lambo, but I could be shocked and see this series being a shocker and High Council coming out with the win. I am excited to see what happens between these teams.
Zaun
Conduit Kraken vs Conduit Flux
More Civil wars? No problem! I personally believe that Kraken has the best bot lane in all of BOL Plat with ChromeAlone and previous finals winner IllicitRaven teaming up. Kraken has also added CoachSilentK who is a solid jungler while Flux has kept their Titan roster for the most part with only changing out top and adding GavDougieFresh. Merciful Crow is a stable mid laner who can be scary when she gets on her comfort picks so I assume the Flux will make sure that doesn’t happen to try to give Socks To Thighs the advantage in the mid lane. These teams are very evenly matched for me and I can see it ending in a win for either side, but the one player I don’t know too well who I will be watching is Rib up in the top lane for Kraken. If he is solid and can hold his own against the top laners in plat Kraken will be a scary force with their bot lane duo. Tortuga and Panda will have a tough week 1 matchup but knowing them, they will show up for the team and make sure to come out on top.
Monkeys Sharks vs Monkeys Inc.
Another Civil War?!?! Okay this is getting old, onto the next series…….no I’m just joking don’t worry. Both of these Monkeys teams have a lot of question marks for me. How well will Weez role swap into mid lane? Will Feathers champ pool be an issue in Fearless? How will Pinkpwnguin perform in the jungle role? This matchup is pivotal for both teams to make sure they get off on the right foot and use the momentum through the season and grow in their roles and as a team. I think Monkeys Inc has the better bot lane in Grim Dafyre and Foxstepbro who have been playing together for awhile now and last time they played in BOL together they were a large part for their teams wins and success. If Archer and MacMittens and hold their own vs the aggressive bot lane of Monkeys Inc I can see it being a hard series for the scream factory, and could be the reasons Sharks come out on top, so for those reasons I am looking in on the bot lane.
Eclipse Valkyries vs Contingent Purple
So many new faces this year in the plat scene and I love to see it! I apologize for not knowing you guys but this is the time for you to make me learn who you all are. I think these teams on paper are evenly matched into each other so I am intrigued on how this series will play out. Neonsword and Furdi is where I will be looking as both players are Caitlyn mains so I believe that will be a prio in this series, but it is a champ and playstyle that can be hard to pull off in this elo. Foxhoundkaz plays mostly mid in solo queue but has support reps so I wonder how they will be able to perform in comp as a support player, as Triumphant is a support main and has a deeper pool, so support pinching could look rough in this series. I think whichever bot lane duo gets ahead in these games will be the reason that their team will come out with the win in the end. Again, solo queue doesn’t tell the whole story so prove me wrong and make me eat my own words.
Dorado Lambda vs TPO Redacted
I think this will be the most one-sided series we have to open up the season as I heavily favor Dorado. Names on paper this Dorado team is scary. Ultimice, Sunrai, NoNaMe, Killerfox, and my mid laner Efron. These are all established players in the plat comp scene and should just work instantly as a 5 man unit. The only question I have is if Dorado is able to make another IslamicSamurai clone in Sunrai who can play both Jungle and Support effectively in comp play. TPO has known players in their own right in Notorious TLP and Xuri who have been around for a while themselves and can have moments where they look like some of the best players in the scene. For the rest of TPO I do not know them too well but from what I am seeing solo queue wise they all seem solid. My only question is if Qutie will be able to hold their own vs Efron as they are role swapping from support to mid and Efron will be a tough matchup for your BOL debut. Maybe TPO will shock everyone and get the upset, as anything can happen in BOL Plat!
